Aluminum foil has been widely used in drug packaging because of its non-toxic, high light shading, oxygen resistance and moisture resistance.  With the development of technology, in addition to the traditional aluminum foil for blister packaging (PTP), aluminum foil is also combined with various plastic and paper materials as pharmaceutical packaging materials, such as double foil, strip foil, cold forming aluminum foil, aluminum suppository foil, composite film, etc.

PTP Blister foil

PTP aluminum foil has the characteristics of oxygen resistance, moisture-proof, leak-proof, pollution-proof and light-proof, which can effectively protect drug packaging. PTP aluminum foil with heat sealing lacquer ensures excellent heat sealing effect with PVC, PVDC/PVC, PP and other plastic based materials.

Cold forming foil

Cold stamping molding aluminum foil, also known as cold forming foil, alu alu foil, is a kind of three layers composite material made of nylon, aluminum foil and PVC. Mainly used for blister packaging, and sealed with PTP aluminum foil packaging.

Lamination foil

Lamination foil, also called lamination film, is aluminium foil composited with plastic films, not only retains the good barrier performance, but also has superior mechanical properties. The lamination film can used on automatic packaging machine, for all types of sachet, stick pack and strip pack,used for granules, powder and gels.

Suppository foil

Suppository aluminum foil, suppository PVC, as the name suggests, refers to the aluminum foil or PVC composite film used to package suppositories. Aluminum foil or PVC and PE composite, has a certain hardness, and has good tensile, after molding into a plug shell, then injected with the liquid drug, when the drug cooling it forms into suppository.

Primer: 1±0.2gsm

Alu: 20mics, 25mics, 30mics

HSL(heat seal lacquer): 3±1gsm(recommended)

                    5±1gsm

Primer-Unprinted blister foil, also known as NC foil, can be printed by customers themselves.
The desired contents should be printed on the primer side, primer can holds the ink in place so that the ink is very firm after printing.

HSL-Heat seal lacquer, which can be heat seal with PVC, PVDC, Alu alu and other materials under certian pressure and temperature.
Heat seal lacquer of 3gsm has very good sealing performance, which is enough for sealing needs of drugs, and the cost is low, is the recommended choice.
Heat seal lacquer of 5gsm and 7gsm have better sealing performance, but the cost is expensive.  They are not recommended for price sensitive customers.

OP-Printed blister foil is ready to use foil, which already printed with the logo, name of the drug and other contents.
After printing on the surface of aluminum foil, the ink is easy to fall off, so need to coat the over lacquer to protect the ink, make it firm and not falling off.

Double sides printing-Due to the needs of product design, sometimes the HSL side also needs to print colors, such as gold, pink and even patterns.
